Photography Web Design: Its Science

Standard

Photography is something that everyone seems to be getting into these days. You see everyone with their digital cameras at almost everywhere you go; and why wouldn’t you? Digital cameras are portable, easy to use, inexpensive (depending on the camera), and they carry a lot of pictures. Having the ability and opportunity to take pictures wherever you are at is something that people today seem to find valuable. I own a digital camera and I love the thing. I keep it in my purse because you never know when a good picture opportunity will come up. Not only that, but most digital cameras take video as well. Granted, the zooming capabilities are not all that great and the amount of time that you can take video depends on your memory card, but it still makes it easy to take a quick video without having a video recorder with you as well.

Taking photos is something that everyone does. There is nothing better for keeping hold of memories than a picture. It is estimated that they are worth about 1000 words. Its science.

Taking these photos and putting them online is also something that a lot of people do in one way or another. MySpace profiles and other community websites, photo-sharing websites, personal websites, and all that are centered around pictures. Pictures are everywhere on the internet, sporadically placed within every website. When I talk about photography web design though, what I’m really focusing on is those websites that are dedicated to a photographer for his/her works.

Photographers always have a portfolio that they show anyone interested in using them. Before the internet photographers would obviously have their best prints in a book for people to check out. Nowadays, they do the same thing for face to face meetings but how are photographers to promote themselves so people know their services and can check them out without having to meet. BAM! The internet. This is where photographers can put themselves and their works out there so that potential clients can see their previous work and possibly get in contact with them for a job. Oh, the internet… you are my hero. For more information on photography web design check us out at DreamCo DesignPhotography Web Design.
