Charity web design can be beneficial to many different people. The first and most obvious group is the actual charity itself. Having a website giving information and supporting your charity could give it some much needed attention and bring in those helping dollars that you are trying so desperately to raise. A lot of people give to charities each year; some do it just because and some do it so they can get the tax right off. Not that it matters the reason right? As long as you get the resources you need to go towards the cause you’re working for. Unless you are one of the larger charities, most people are not going to know about you unless your well know locally; even then your only working on a small market to raise some big funds.

Having a website will help you draw in people who are interested in your cause. A lot of people go on the internet to find a charity and see what they are all about. So the second group that a charitable website benefits is the actual person donating. Most people nowadays are very suspicious of anyone trying to collect money for a cause. You see it everyday; they come to your door saying they are raising money for something without having any information to back it up. They stand outside stores each Christmas ringing that little bell. Ding! Ding! They even stand in the middle of lighted intersections to walk up to your car window for a donation. Charities are everywhere and now that they are so common, people don’t know which one to donate to or if they should donate at all. They don’t want to be throwing their money away to a false cause. This is why most people get shooed away when they try to collect money.

Having a website that you could give to people when you are collecting is a fantastic idea. Even if you don’t actually go out and collect money, just having that website will help in the most immense way.
