Artist web design continues to and will always be the best way to show off your artistic talents to the world. In the last article we touched on the gallery sections of an artist web design solution. Now the gallery section might be one of the more important areas of your artist website. There are a few other sections that can prove to be just as important if not more important.

One of the most popular sections you see on being used in artist web design is a contact section. This is pretty self explanatory but for the sake of taking up space I am going to tell you all about it but I am going to try to sound smart doing it. Essentially a contact section consists of all the possible ways the users on the artist website can communicate with said artist. Typically one will find an email address but it is not uncommon to see a phone number and/or home or studio address as well. This section is pretty standard on every website you come across. Not that difficult to do and it is kind of expected too.

Another popular section one comes across on an artist website is an artist statement. Typically you would see this if the artist website is showcasing a particular event. If you are in the art field you know exactly what an artist statement is and what it consists of. For those of us who might not know; it is a little section that allows the artist to explain the inspiration for the project and the way they went about creating it. Include things such as the medium used, where your subjects came from, and what the project says about you or about the world. It can really be anything the artist wants it to be. Either way an artist statement is a pretty important thing to include on in your artist web design solution.

There are other equally important features that one can utilize with artist web design. The ones mentioned above are usually pretty standard things that one would come across when looking at artist’s websites. Most are just comprised of text and do not really involve that much work form you or your web designer.
